Dear People,

Thank you for your attention and support! It encourages me to continue.

I would also like to thank all visitors of my concerts in the past year. Thanks to you musically it has been a great year for me. And ... for the new year, there are already many new concerts planned, everyone is very welcome there.

I wish you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Gert van Hoef
Dear Followers,

I'd like to thank you for all warm and spontaneous messages in my guestbook, and personal messages to me through the contact form on my website.
Many of you invite me for concert tours, especially the enthusiastic fans in the U.S.A.
However, I have just completed highschool, and I will be starting my education at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with much enthusiasm soon.
Of course it's a big wish of mine to travel abroad in the future, but for now my focus is on my education.

However, there are various concerts in the Netherlands, and maybe Belgium.
Information about these concerts is always published on this website under the chapter 'Concerts'.
If you have the opportunity to attent them, I would very much appreciate it.

With warm regards,

Gert van Hoef
On July 1, 2013, in the Westerkerk (West Church) in Amsterdam, Gert did his entrance audition for the organ main study at the Royal  Conservatory in The Hague. He played the Johann Sebastian Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565, and Louis Vierne's first  movement (allegro) from the symphony #2.

The examination committee decided unanimously to admit Gert's into the Conservatory school of Music. His forthcoming teacher Jos van der Kooy, was impressed by Gert's technical ability.

Late August, a theory test will be conducted to determine the appropriate level in which he will be placed.

On Monday December 10th for the third time the Organ Gala at the Martini Church in Groningen took place for 150 guests from the business and arts sector (Prince Claus Conservatoire) and politics.

Host was the chairman of VNO / NCW North Netherlands Mr. Bert van der Haart and the artistic direction was in the hands of Daniel Rouwkema. This year guest organist Euwe de Jong was asked, known from the Bach quatre-mains CDs. There was also vocal contribution (ensemble of professionals and conservatory students).
The presentation was moderated by the well-known NOS sportscaster Herbert Dijkstra.
Herbert came up with the idea to give Gert van Hoef as special talent a platform amongst these professional musicians. It was a fantastic evening with
music at a high level. In an ambiantly lit Church the operations of the organists could be followed on a big screen.

After Gert van Hoef had played his program, Herbert Dijkstra came with a spontaneous request for the winning piece of Feike Asma Competition 2010. This was played in a beautiful way with lots of feel by the young musician, which culminated in a thunderous applause!

An evening which will be long remembered.
